My name is Vanessa, and for over four years now I have been documenting my travels on Wanderness and making new friends online. *Waving*.
Wanderness is the product of my 2012 student boredom. A Bachelors in Archaeology didn’t allow for much creativity, and after discovering The Londoner’s blog I realized that I could have a bit of internet to call my own.
Four years later and Wanderness is still growing. What once was a mish-mash of all kinds has slowly developed into an award nominated, Top #150 travel blog on Bloglovin. Despite a BA in History/Archaeology, and an MA in Politics, I put too much time into Wanderness for my own good.
Wanderness has inspired me to travel, to see more with my own eyes, and because of that I’m off to Australia on a working holiday visa in a few months and hoping to not settle back in the UK for many, many years.
I hope you find Wanderness to be an honest, funny, down to earth account of a Brit abroad, along with some handy tips for yourself!
So you know what Wanderness is all about, here’s a selection of what to expect…
Oh and I’m sure you’ll find plenty of food. Lots of food.
If you’ve read this, why not tweet me with your favorite book as a recommendation, or tell me the best place that you’ve been to on your own travels! (Netflix rec’s always appreciated too.)
